AdFree Files is a local file manager for Android. It should feel like a clean system tool: open quickly, find, sort, filter, manage files and get out again.

Features include folder navigation with breadcrumbs, categories, list and grid views, sorting, filter chips, favourites, custom tags and saved filters. File actions such as open, share, rename, copy, move and delete stay explicit and understandable.

The app works without ads, forced accounts or behaviour tracking.

First start

Open the app and grant only the access you need for your use.

For full file-manager mode Android may require access to all files. If you do not want that or your device restricts it, you can also work with selected folders through Android’s folder picker.

Media categories such as images, videos or audio may use their own media permissions depending on Android version.

Find and organize files

Use categories, search, sorting, filters and views to understand large collections faster.

Mark important files as favourites, add your own tags and save frequently used filters as presets.

Cleaner views such as large files, old files and duplicate review help with cleanup but delete nothing without explicit action.

File actions

Select one or more files to share them, open them with another app, move, copy, rename or delete them.

Delete actions are designed as deliberate decisions. Where Android supports it, a safer recycle-bin/trash path is preferred.

When you pass files to external apps, the selected app processes the file under its own rules.

Privacy

Files, file lists, tags, favourites and filters generally remain on your device. NoShit Development runs no own server for personal files or usage profiles for AdFree Files.

Google Play Billing may communicate with Google services for app purchases or voluntary support. Payment details are not processed by AdFree Files.
